Refill or replace? Compare the whole routine.
The useful comparison is a completed task, not the size of a bottle.
Start with what you already own
Keep using a working container when it is safe and suitable. Buying a new “sustainable” container is still a new purchase.
Compare equivalent use
Record cost per dose, packaging weight per use, number of refills available, shipping frequency and cleaning performance for the same task. A concentrate may require different dosing.
Check the system
Ask whether refill packaging is collected locally, whether the pump is replaceable and whether you can keep buying compatible refills. Follow the product’s mixing and safety instructions.
Make a conditional choice
A durable refill system may be a good fit when it replaces recurring packaging and you actually use it repeatedly. A one-off switch with no refill access deserves a closer look. We have not tested or ranked any specific products in this guide.
